Development of Density Functionals for the application in Non-equilibrium and thermodynamical equilibrium.

This project is in the area of non-equilibrium statistical mechanics, specifically classical dynamical density functional Theory (CDDFT) and phase field theory for modeling of materials. The formal derivation of the equations used in these theories makes several crucial assumptions. These theories are based on density functionals which give equilibrium thermodynamics correctly.
